Apple's native apps usually work more or less without problems, and Notes on the iPhone is no exception. Even so, it may happen that you experience problems with this application in iOS 15. In today's article, we'll look at the most common issues with native Notes in iOS 15 and how to fix them.

The note stays on iCloud

Have you saved the note you created on iCloud, but would like to move it directly to your iPhone? No problem – it's a simple and quick step that will literally take you only a few seconds. Launch native Notes on your iPhone and find the note you want to move in the All: iCloud folder. Move the note panel slightly to the left and click on the folder icon. Then just select the folder on your iPhone to which you want to move this note.

I can't find a note on my iPhone

If you can't see one of your notes on your iPhone, there may be a sync problem with the associated account. This time, on your iPhone, launch Settings and tap on Mail. Choose Accounts, tap the desired account and make sure Notes is enabled. If you use multiple accounts for Notes on your iPhone, repeat this process for each account.

Accidentally deleted note

You might accidentally delete a note on your iPhone that you really mean. Fortunately, this is not a problem either - deleted notes can be recovered in most cases. Launch native Notes on your iPhone and head to the iCloud section. At the very bottom of this section, there should be a folder called Recently Deleted. Tap it, select the note you want to restore, and long press it or slide it to the left. Click on the folder icon (in case of a long press on Move) and then choose the destination folder.

Notes not loading / syncing

If you have problems with the overall functioning of the native Notes on your iPhone, or if some entries are not displayed, there may be a problem in the communication between the application and iCloud. Temporarily disconnecting the app from iCloud is often the solution to such a problem. On your iPhone, go to Settings -> Your Name Panel -> iCloud. In the Apps using iCloud section, tap Notes, Deactivate Sync this iPhone and confirm. Wait a while and then turn sync back on.

Search in Notes does not work

Searching in Notes on iPhone not working for you? If restarting the app or resetting the phone didn't work, you can try temporarily disabling iCloud, which we describe in the previous section of this article. If this step doesn't work either, go to Settings -> Siri and Search on your iPhone. Head all the way down to the list of apps, tap Notes and disable all items. Again, wait a while and then activate the items again.
