Literally the whole world is now interested in the iPhone 13. We are only a few days away from the performance itself, when we will see the long-awaited September keynote. During it, next to the new iPhones, the 3rd generation AirPods and possibly the Apple Watch will also be revealed. However, it is unclear whether they will be moved to October. In any case, Apple fans have been discussing on the Internet for a long time whether the iPhone 13 will really be called that.

iPhone 13 Pro on a successful render:

The naming of this year's range has now been confirmed with a leaked video showing the original, and still wrapped, silicone covers for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The video itself was first published by a user going by the nickname @PinkDon1, but after some time he deleted it and never mentioned it once. But in reality, not much is known about this user and he is not that active. So no one can be 100% sure of the authenticity of the video itself just yet, as it is also unusual for something like this to appear literally a few days/weeks before the reveal of the line itself.

Anyway, what the video shows is the name of the phone - iPhone 13. This then goes hand in hand with the earlier predictions of more respected sources. At the same time, there was also information that this year's series will not receive the number 13, but instead the Cupertino giant will once again resort to using the letter S. In such a case, the Apple phone would bear the designation iPhone 12S. Anyway, these predictions were made by not-so-credible leakers.

What iPhone 13 will bring

Let's quickly recap what we can actually expect from the new series. The most common talk is the reduction of the upper cutout, which has been facing strong criticism for several years, even from the ranks of apple growers themselves. The problem in this direction is that the TrueDepth camera hides all the necessary components for the advanced Face ID system in combination with the front camera. The iPhone 13 (Pro) should subsequently boast better and larger cameras, and in the case of the Pro models there is talk of implementing a ProMotion LTPO display with a long-awaited 120Hz refresh rate.

In total, four models should be introduced, just like last year. Specifically, it will be iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. We will stay with the Pro models for a while. They will probably come in a completely new, unique color design that will define this year's generation of Apple phones. In this direction, there is talk of a Sunset Gold design, i.e. a slightly nicer gold. We discussed this topic in detail in this article.

When will the performance take place?

Apple traditionally presents Apple phones on the occasion of its September keynote. But this tradition was interrupted last year, unfortunately due to supply chain complications caused by the global covid-19 pandemic. For this year, the giant from Cupertino should have prepared with maximum effort so that a similar situation would not happen again. For this reason, the entire apple world expects the show to take place later this month, probably in the 3rd or 4th week.
