The popular community navigation Waze, which is owned by Google, has received another highly requested and interesting update, which consists of notifying the driver if he is not exceeding the speed limit while driving. This function will perfectly complement the already well-established feature in the form of a message, where the police officers measuring speed are currently located.
The meaning of this newly added element is very straightforward - if the user exceeds the permitted speed on the given road, the application will notify him. It is not a revolutionary discovery, as competing applications also had this feature in earlier years, but due to the popularity of this navigation assistant, the vast majority of users will definitely appreciate it without having to use other alternatives.
Users can set whether they want only a visual notification in the corner of the app, or also an audio impulse to correct their speed. Either way, the warning will remain in place until the driver reduces their speed. They can also set whether they want to see the warning element every time they exceed the permitted limit, or only in cases where their driving climbs over the five-, ten- or fifteen-percent limit.

It is good to point out that the speed is not specified everywhere. It's still being worked on in the editor. ;-)

I use Waze less since I have navigation, speed limit reading and TomTom life services via WiFi hotshot in my Kia. But nostalgically, I still play it. I've had it since the beginning and the development is great. Perhaps the first app not blocked by Google
Patrik: sorry, it should have been a separate post
It should be noted that 4 or more years ago Waze was able to do this, but then it died and now it's coming back with a bang :-) I just don't know where it got it from back then, it couldn't be set in the editor and sometimes it showed crap...
Waze is great, but even after forcefully closing the application, it keeps tracking my GPS, so I disable it in the settings and use it less and less
When you look in the changelog, you will find that the tracking in the background is for the reason that you are alerted to the departure time necessary for you to arrive on time for the events entered in your calendar (meetings, etc.). If you turn this off, the tracking should stop. Alternatively, I think that on iOS you can disable GPS in the background and enable it only for running applications ;-)
er, just enable and disable GPS. Otherwise, I gave instructions on FB CZ Waze.
What bothers me about Waze is that it forces access to contacts. Otherwise it will probably be good, but for this reason I won't try it.
