When Apple introduced the new iPhone 12 series last year, it surprised many Apple fans by "reviving" the concept of MagSafe. This was previously known as the connector for powering MacBooks, which was able to be attached immediately by means of magnets and thus was a bit safer, since, for example, when tripping over the cable, it did not destroy the entire laptop. However, in the case of Apple phones, it is a series of magnets on the back of the device that are used for "wireless" charging, attachment of accessories and the like. Of course, MagSafe also made its way into the latest iPhone 13, which begs the question of whether it has received any improvements.

Stronger MagSafe magnets

For a relatively long time, there has been talk among Apple fans that this year's generation of Apple phones will improve MagSafe, especially the magnets, which will thus be slightly stronger. Several speculations revolved around this topic and the leakers were behind this change. After all, this was even reported at the beginning of this year, while similar news spread slowly from time to time until autumn. However, as soon as the new iPhones were introduced, Apple never once mentioned anything in connection with the MagSafe standard and did not even talk about the mentioned stronger magnets.

On the other hand, it wouldn't be that unusual. In short, the Cupertino giant will not present some functions during the unveiling and inform about them only afterwards, or write them down in the technical specifications. But that didn't happen either, and there hasn't been a single official mention of MagSafe magnets so far. Question marks still hang over whether the new iPhones 13 (Pro) really offer stronger magnets. Since there is no statement, we can only speculate.

What are users saying?

A similar question, i.e. whether the iPhone 13 (Pro) offers a stronger MagSafe than the iPhone 12 (Pro) in terms of magnets, was asked by a number of Apple users on the discussion forums, just like us. By all accounts, it seems that there shouldn't be any difference in strength. After all, this is also indicated by an official statement from Apple - which does not exist. If such an improvement had really occurred, we believe that we would have learned about it a long time ago and not have to think about a similar question in a complicated way. This is also indicated by the statements of the users themselves, who have experience with both the iPhone 12 (Pro) and its successor this year. According to them, there is no difference in the magnets.
