The news about large-scale destructive fires in the territory of Australia has certainly been noticed by everyone recently. Practically immediately, various collections were launched by large and small companies, public figures and influencers. Apple is no exception in this direction either, which recently launched its own charity campaign to support rescue work in Australia. Apple is collaborating with the Red Cross on the campaign.

Apple customers who would like to contribute to disaster relief efforts can make a donation to the Red Cross through iTunes or the App Store using the appropriate payment method. In this case, Apple does not charge any extra fees - 100% of all contributions go exclusively to charity. Donations of $5-$200 can be made to the Red Cross through Apple. Apple will not share the personal data of users who choose to donate to charity in any way with the Red Cross.

At the moment, only Apple customers in the United States and Australia have the option to donate to the relevant charity, in both countries the funds of the donors will go to the local branch of the Red Cross organization. It is not yet certain whether Apple will extend this activity to other countries of the world, but it is likely.

In December of last year, Tim Cook announced on his Twitter account that Apple itself would also contribute to help Australia, and expressed support and participation to all those who participated in any way in the rescue work.
