Here we are on the last day of the first full week of the New Year. That said, we've been treated to some pretty juicy news from the tech world that promises a bright future. And it's no wonder, companies like Facebook and Twitter intervened against the whims of former US President Donald Trump and shut down his tip. The latter has calmed down after a few hours of blocking the account and is trying to correct his inappropriate reaction to the recent events in the Capitol. Elon Musk, on the other hand, can enjoy the status of the richest person on Earth and, at the same time, a perfect blow against Facebook, which stirred up a lot of controversy.

Trump has access to his Twitter account again. After the posting ban expired, he published a new video in which he partially repents

Former US President Donald Trump has not had it easy lately. After the riots in the Capitol and the call-up of the National Guard, even his closest associates and Republicans, who condemned the attack and vowed to support Joe Biden in a peaceful takeover, are giving up on him. Of course, Trump did not like this and not only accused his Vice President Mike Pence of recording the competition, but also published three posts on Twitter that reeked of misinformation and potentially dangerous consequences. Twitter decided not only to remove the posts, but also blocked Donald Trump's account for 12 hours.

And as it turned out, it was like taking away a child's toy. The former American president calmed down, thought deeply about himself and rushed to "apologise" ... well, that's asking too much, but still, in the latest video, which he published just after the ban, he is remorseful and calls for a peaceful and non-violent takeover of power Joe Biden. He also leaned heavily on the protesters who attacked the Capitol and threatened the democracy of the United States. Fortunately, this controversial politician has mitigated the effects at least slightly and is trying to accommodate the Democrats. Even so, he calls for the reform of the electoral system and asks for the creation of a system that will control and verify the validity of individual votes.

Elon Musk becomes the richest person in the world. Shares of Tesla hit brand new and unprecedented records

Although just a few years ago, bad mouths claimed that Elon Musk is just a megalomaniacal fool and a foolish visionary who is trying to save the world at the expense of his own enrichment, the opposite is true. His initiatives in the form of the Tesla companies and the space giant SpaceX sprinkled a good few billion dollars into his private fortune, and as it turned out, these small premiums eventually made Elon Musk the richest person on our planet. In total, this controversial figure, loved by some and hated by others, owns a fortune worth 188.5 billion US dollars, surpassing the wealth of the most influential billionaire of all time, Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon.

Although the two billionaires differ in their wealth by only 1.5 billion dollars, it is still an incredible milestone. Just a few months ago, it seemed that Elon Musk would not catch up to Bezos and would still be "the other" who does not reach the size of Amazon and its director even up to the ankles. But most people were obviously mistaken, and the legendary visionary managed to humble this fortune already at the beginning of this year. After all, the ranking of the richest people changes more and more often, and while in the previous 24 years this status was long dominated by Bill Gates, in 2018 Jeff Bezos quickly replaced him. And now the crown is being passed on, specifically into the hands of Elon Musk.

The founder of Tesla took to Facebook. Instead of a popular social network, it uses secure communication via Signal

And we have another breaking news regarding Tesla and SpaceX founder, Elon Musk, who can enjoy further success in addition to his record wealth. It is this visionary who has been promoting more secure and private forms of communication that do not rely on a third party in the form of a giant like Facebook for a long time. Although Musk trusts Twitter a little more, he still likes to venture into similar companies more and more often and tries to inform his fans and others about more reliable alternatives - for example, the Signal application. It offers fully anonymous and encrypted communication between two or more parties.

After all, Facebook has long boasted that both WhatsApp and Messenger are among the most secure apps, but in the same breath adds that it must collect data about users to prevent potentially dangerous content. This is understandably against the tycoon Elon Musk, so he came up with a solution – to use an alternative in the form of the Signal application, which he also pointed out on his Twitter. While Facebook tries to collect as much data as possible, Signal intends to do the exact opposite, that is, to offer as much anonymity as possible without violating the integrity of the communication. After all, this is not the first time that the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX have embarked on a similar fight. His statements have been in the stomach of the technological giants for quite a long time.
