The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has just announced the nominations for this year's awards, known as the Oscars, and has included Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs among the best performances of the past year.

Fassbender will have some very tough competition at the 88th Academy Awards. He will fight for the Oscar for the leading male role with Bryan Cranston (T), by Matt Damon (The Martian), by Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl) and Leonardo DiCaprio. Just a DiCaprio picture The Revenant dominated the nominations, winning twelve of them.

For filmmakers Steve Jobs is a nomination from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, further proof that although the film failed with the audience, it was far from being such a bad work in terms of craftsmanship. At the Golden Globes they succeeded Aaron Sorkin (screenplay) and Kate Winslet (female supporting role) and two other nominations remained unchanged.

Fassbender had one of them, who, on the other hand, succeeded at the Oscars. Kate Winslet, who played PR manager Maca Joanna Hoffman, also received a nomination for the best supporting actress. Whether both of them can turn nominations into victories will be shown at the Academy Awards ceremony, which is scheduled for February 28.

It became the second most nominated film at the 88th Oscars M, which has 10 irons in the fire, earning seven nominations The Martian, which has already won a Golden Globe.
