Just a few days ago, the MegaReader application was a classic e-book reader and stood out practically only by hiding a database of less than two million titles that were completely free to read. But on January 18, an update to version 2.1 was released, which moves MegaReader somewhere else entirely. It will especially interest those who cannot last a minute without their favorite book...

In the new update, the HUD (Heads Up Display) function appeared, thanks to which it will look as if the book was written on glass, because it will be transparent. The image captured by your device's camera will be projected in the background, and you will be able to read and at the same time monitor where you are stepping, so there is no risk of colliding with a pedestrian or lamp.

The HUD in MegaReader works only on iOS devices with a camera and with the operating system iOS 4.0 and higher. If you can't imagine how the new feature works, watch the following video:

MegaReader Free Books application can be found in the App Store for 1,99 dollars.
