Most of today's big games suffer from the disease of being too easy. Developers can then hide the straightforwardness of their titles behind different degrees of difficulty, but there it is usually just a change of a few parameters that exist across the entire gameplay. For fans of difficult games, there are projects that have a high level of difficulty to include in their game design. For example, the entire genre of roguelikes and roguelites look like big puzzles. However, the developers from Lost Pilgrims Studio are doing it a little differently with their new product.

Vagrus: The Riven Realms could best be described as a digital conversion of a classic tabletop RPG. Its roots also really lie in such games. However, the world of Vagrus is extremely inhospitable - a post-apocalyptic wasteland that will not give you anything for free and will prepare one danger after another for you. At the same time, your character is the owner of a caravan that sets out through the inhospitable landscape to trade and fulfill assigned tasks. At the same time, the main focus of the game is trading and generally taking care of your caravan, goods and workers, with whom from time to time you will also become comrades-in-arms.

Vagrus doesn't offer much combat. But when a bunch of monsters come to your mind, you can look forward to a turn system that most resembles the good old Darkest Dungeon. On special occasions, the game also offers a second battle system that turns the game into a real-team strategy. If you are interested in the game, but you are not sure how difficult it would be for you, the developer offers a special progologist for this very reason, which you can download completely free.
