Press Release: The Prague Startup World Cup & Summit, whose program will also be joined by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak on Wednesday, October 6, is practically sold out a week before the start. The event will take place behind the scenes of the Asylum 78 marquee in Prague's Stromovka. However, those who do not manage to catch a ticket need not despair. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year's format will be hybrid, so interested parties can watch everything important online - including Wozniak's performance and the pan-European final of the competition for the best startup. Thanks to the online ticket, they will also be able to participate in mentoring tables and networking with investors. Tickets are on sale on the website swcsummit.com.

Who will be able to draw inspiration from this year?

A legend of computer engineering Steve Wozniak for example, a world-renowned teacher and journalist will complete her performance Esther Wojcicki – often nicknamed the “Godmother of Silicon Valley”. Esther is the author of a bestselling book on raising successful people and, among other things, mentored Steve Jobs' daughter.

He will be another bright personality Kyle Corbitt. The president of Y Combinator - one of the largest startup incubators in the world - has created something like Tinder for startup founders. Its software application helps bring together ideal startup partners.

He then introduces the audience to cosmic themes Fiammetta Diani – a woman in charge of market development at the European Union Space Program Agency (EUSPA).

Due to the ongoing complications with travel, some personalities will participate remotely - live online input. This is also the case with Steve Wozniak and Esther Wojcicki. "Of course, we tried to ensure that both of them could come to Prague, but the pandemic situation did not allow it in the end. Even so, the opportunity to see 'Woz' live will be truly unique. And we keep hoping that we will be able to bring it to Prague next year," comments SWCSummit director Tomáš Cironis.

Maximum benefits for a nominal amount

SWCSummit is one of the most important startup events held in the Czech Republic. It is traditionally the highlight of the program the continental final of the world's biggest competition for the best startup, framed by speeches of important personalities, panel debates and mentoring tables. "Despite the VIP content, we try to make the entire event accessible to as many people as possible. Thanks to the online ticket, even people from far away or those who find themselves in quarantine due to Covid can participate in the program," Tomáš Cironis explains.

An online ticket costs a symbolic 533 crowns. However, it offers its owner much more than passive surveillance. "We want to make maximum benefits available to those participants who cannot physically attend the event. The main added value of SWCSummit tends to be networking. Here, representatives of startups can draw inspiration from successful personalities, meet investors who would otherwise be difficult to reach, and learn from mentors. The online ticket is also a ticket to the application, which you can get from Friday book a seat at the mentor table or arrange an online meeting with an investor or other key people from the business," concludes Cironis.

The full program, including all confirmed speakers, panelists and mentors, can be viewed on the website swcsummit.com.
