If, like me, you do your daily work on your MacBook, then you must have already noticed that it can often get pretty sweaty. If you also own one of the newer models, you feel this even more often and more intensely. Apple tries to make its devices smaller, thinner and slimmer, which of course has an impact on cooling, and in the end, even during classic work, the fan inside the device can spin at full speed. Have you ever dreamed of being able to manually control the fan speed inside your Mac or MacBook? If yes, then you will definitely like the program Mac's Fan Control.

What are we going to lie to ourselves about - newer MacBooks, except that they can get a good sweat, they are too noisy as hell. Until recently, however, I respected the noise and thought it was probably justified. Later, however, I found it very strange that he would have a MacBook even with those the simplest actions the need to let go of mine fan on full blast. So I started looking for a program that could show me processor temperature, together with the option set the fan speed. Almost immediately I found Macs Fan Control and after installing it I found that often there is really no reason for the MacBook to run its fan at full blast. This is more of a form of "intuition", where macOS recognizes that you might be about to do some demanding work, and to prevent overheating, activates the fan earlier.

However, only you can know what work you are going to do on your device. So it is absolutely unnecessary to have your fan running at full blast while chatting in iMessage. In addition, even though it may not seem like it during the day, the noise at full speed of the fan can be very loud in the evening, which your girlfriend or boyfriend may not like. Together with the Macs Fan Control application, you can therefore manually adjust the fan speed and at the same time monitor the temperature of the processor so that it does not overheat. You can place all this information, together with the control, in the top bar, so you will always have it in sight. Controlling Macs Fan Control is very simple - it will show up when you start the application list of all active fans. For settings own revolutions just tap on the option Own…, and then set the option Constant speed. Slider then set number of revolutions, which the fan should stick to. If you want to set the display of the icon in the top bar, just press the button in the lower right corner of the program window Settings…, and then move to the bookmark Show icon in the top bar.

However, note that after setting the lower constant speed, you must carefully monitor the temperature of your processor to avoid overheating. If you leave the fan speed set to low for too long, the macOS environment will first start to crash, later the system may even shut down completely, and in the worst cases, some hardware components may also be damaged. You download and use the Macs Fan Control program only at your own risk, and the editors of Jablíčkář magazine are not responsible for any damages that may arise from the use of this program.
