We recently informed you about speaker issues with the new 16-inch MacBook Pros. Apple has promised to fix this bug in one of the macOS Catalina operating system updates. According to the latest reports, it looks like the audio issues have indeed been resolved in the latest macOS Catalina 10.15.2 update.
This is evidenced by messages from users on social networks or perhaps on the discussion server Reddit. According to them, after installing the latest version of the operating system, the annoying popping and clicking sounds stopped coming from the speakers. These used to occur mainly when using applications that work with media content - for example, VLC player, Netflix, Premiere Pro, Amazon Prime Video, but also Safari or Chrome browsers. Users across internet discussion forums and social networks are reporting with relief that the said problem has indeed disappeared after upgrading to the latest version of macOS.
However, there are also those that, according to the update, disturbing sounds are heard all the time, only at a lower intensity. On the other hand, according to other users, sounds are still heard while using some applications, while in others they have disappeared. "I just installed 10.15.2 and can confirm that although the crackling has been significantly reduced, it is still audible" writes one of the users, adding that the volume of the sounds has decreased by about half.
Owners of the latest laptops from Apple began to complain about this problem already at the time of the release of the computer, i.e. in October this year. Apple confirmed the problem, said it was a software bug, and ordered authorized service personnel not to schedule any service appointments or replace affected computers. In its message to authorized service providers, Apple said that fixing the problem may take more time and require more software updates.

:D But this is not a problem with new computers. Macbook Pros have been suffering from this since at least 2017. A fix is still in sight. It's true that after the penultimate update, she didn't do it that often. But he keeps doing it. The thing is that when the speakers are turned off, they sometimes crackle. There is even a several-year-old fan fix for this called anti-pop, but it basically solves the problem by generating inaudible sounds at short intervals (below 10 Hz, let's say) so that the reverbs don't go out.
