New reports regarding this year's MacBook news suggest that this year we will see both updated models with an improved keyboard and even a MacBook with an ARM processor.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo released a new report to the world today, in which he deals with the MacBooks and their variations that Apple should have planned for this calendar year. The information is really surprising and if you have been procrastinating buying, it might lift your spirits a bit.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, sales of two (old) new MacBook models will begin sometime during the second quarter. One of them will be the new MacBook Pro, which, following the example of its larger sibling, will offer a 14″ display while maintaining the size of the original 13″ model. The second will be the updated MacBook Air, which will remain at 13″ inches, but like the already mentioned MacBook Pro, it will offer an updated keyboard, which Apple first implemented last year in the 16″ MacBook Pro. These keyboards should no longer suffer from the very common problems that plagued so-called butterfly keyboards. The news should also receive updated hardware, i.e. the latest generation of Intel processors.

The aforementioned was somewhat expected, but the big bomb should come before the end of this year. Despite original speculations the long-awaited MacBook should be released this year, at the heart of which will not be a processor from Intel, but a proprietary ARM solution based on one of Apple's processors. Practically nothing is known about it, but for this use, of course, the revival of the 12″ MacBook series is offered, in which, for example, such an A13X would excel. However, the success of this model will depend on how Apple handles the conversion of a full-fledged operating system and applications from the x86 platform to ARM.

Although this year should be relatively rich in new products in the MacBook range, major changes, including a completely renewed design, should not come until next year. MacBook Pro and Air, which will be released this year, will copy the design of the previous models. More fundamental changes will come next year with a completely new product cycle. Perhaps we will finally see the implementation of Face ID in MacBooks and many other useful things.
