Apple announced yesterday that the Mac App Store will open its doors on January 6, ending all speculation about the launch date. The Mac App Store will be available in 90 countries and will work on the same principle as the App Store on iOS, i.e. a simple purchase and download of an application.

As we already know, they will be in the Mac App Store missing promo codes and we won't even see potential ones beta version or trial version. However, there is definitely something to look forward to. In a press statement, Apple said that on January 6, it will bring the revolutionary App Store from iOS to Mac, making it easier than ever to install apps.

"The App Store was a revolution in the field of mobile applications," said Steve Jobs. “We hope it will do the same for desktop Mac App Store applications. We can't wait to get started on January 6th."

In the Mac App Store, just like on iOS, applications will be divided into several categories, and paid and free programs will also be available. There will also be a classic ranking of top applications and those worth your attention. The purchase will be as simple as on iOS, with a single click to buy, download and install the app. Purchased applications will be available for use on all personal computers and will be easily updated through the Mac App Store. There is also talk that the main launch "draw" will be the office suite iWork 11.

Nothing changes for developers, they will again receive 70% of the price of the program sold and will not have to pay any additional fees.

For users with the Snow Leopard system, the program for accessing the Mac App Store will be freely downloadable via Software Update.
