As we informed you last week, a festive event took place on the premises of Apple Park on Friday to mark its official opening. At the same time, Apple wanted to pay tribute to its late co-founder Steve Jobs with the ceremony. The rainbow arches arching over the stage symbolized a reference to the colors of the Apple logo used in the past. The event was attended by the popular singer Lady Gaga, who performed a shortened version of her Enigma show in front of 15 Apple employees and dedicated the song Million Reasons to Steve Jobs.

At one point, the singer also turned to Steve Jobs' widow, Laurene, and told her that she would like to honor her husband's memory with everyone involved a minute of silence. She also expressed her admiration for Lauren Powell-Jobs for what she does and how she helps people. “That's one of the most important things in the universe—kindness,” she said. But Lady Gaga also had words of thanks for DJ and producer Zane Lowe from the Beats1 station. She thanked him for always giving her the courage to do what she wanted. She then expressed her own desire for an emoji that said "Be Kind". The recording of Lady Gaga's performance can be viewed on the website YouTube.

Tim Cook then thanked Lady Gaga for her performance on his Twitter account, and in another post he paid tribute to Steve Jobs and recalled that it was Jobs who was at the origin of the idea for the recently completed Apple Park.
