Messages or email

You can use the Copy + Paste function practically across the entire system. One way to use the object copy function is to simply and quickly remove the background of the selected image and then insert it into the message. The procedure is really very simple. Open the desired photo in native Photos, right-click on it and select Copy the main theme. Then go to Messages or Mail, start creating a message and insert the image using the keyboard shortcut Cmd + V.

Profile photos in Contacts

Did you take a picture of your aunt at a party, and would you like to set her portrait without a background as her profile picture in Contacts? The first step is clear – open the aunt's photo in native Photos, right-click on it and select Copy the main theme. Now launch Preview, at the top of the screen click on File -> New from Clipboard. Name the newly created image and make adjustments if necessary to set the image as a portrait. Save the image. Now run Contact, select the desired contact and simply drag the photo to the profile picture location.

Remove background in Keynote

You can also use the background removal function when creating presentations in the native Keynote application. Go to the slide that contains the image you want to remove the background from. At the top of the right panel, select a tab Picture and then click on Remove background. You can, of course, move the edited object as you like.

Copying an object in the Finder

You don't necessarily need to open native Photos to copy an object on your Mac. You can also search for the image in the Finder. Once you find it, press the spacebar to activate the quick preview, then right-click the preview. In the end, all you have to do is choose Copy the main theme. You can then insert the image where you need it.

Remove the background in Pages

Similar to Keynote, you can also use the background removal feature in native Pages. In Pages, open the document with the image you want to remove the background from. At the top of the panel on the right side of the Pages window, select a tab Picture and then simply click on Remove background. Edit as needed, click on Done, and you can move or resize the image at will.
