In the case of the Pixel Watch, this cannot be said completely with regard to Android, because there are also Samsung's Galaxy Watches.
The Pixel Watch is clearly said to be the Apple Watch for Android. This is mainly because Google, which is behind Android, will also finally offer its smartwatch for the first time. If you also own Pixel phones, for example, you have a complete range all under the Google roof, which is exactly the similarity with iPhones, their iOS and Apple Watch with watchOS.
Display and dimensions
But if we start our comparison right away with the display, Google immediately loses points here for its size. The Pixel Watch is really small by today's standards of smart watches and wearability, when they are only 41 mm without any option (Samsung Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro also have 45 mm). Although the Apple Watch also has a 41mm rectangular case, they also offer a larger 45mm variant.

450 x 450 pixels at 320 ppi, the other 484 x 396 pixels at 326 ppi. Both watches can do 1000 nits. However, Google's solution leads with a weight of 36g, the Apple Watch weighs 42,3 and 51,5g, respectively. Both have 50m water resistance, but the Apple Watch offers IP6X certification.

Performance and battery
Apple Watch has Apple's own dual-core chip with the designation S8 and runs on the current watchOS 9. The internal memory is 32 GB, and the operating memory is 1 GB. So Apple puts the latest it has into its solution. But Google reached for Samsung's chip, which is already 5 years old, is manufactured using a 10nm process and is the Exynos 9110, but it is also dual-core (1,15 GHz Cortex-A53). GPU is Mali-T720. Here, too, there is 32GB of memory, the operating memory already 2GB. The operating system used is Wear OS 3.5.
The situation regarding the battery is somewhat paradoxical. Apple is often criticized for the battery life of the Apple Watch, but the Series 8 uses a bigger battery than Google does in the Pixel Watch. It's 308 versus 264 mAh. The actual endurance of the Pixel Watch is given as 24h, but that will only be shown by testing, which we have no idea about yet.

Apple also leads in Wi-Fi, which is dual-band (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth is version 5.3, the Pixel Watch only 5.0. Both are capable of NFC payments, both have an accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate sensor, altimeter, compass, SpO2, but Apple also has a barometer, VO2max and temperature sensor, as well as broadband support.

We know the price of the Apple Watch Series 8 well, because it starts at 12 CZK. The price of the Google Pixel Watch was set at 490 dollars, or in simple terms about 350 CZK. In our country, they will probably be available as part of gray imports, where you can expect a higher price due to the warranty and customs.
Well, whoever has a Pixel will probably buy them. I prefer the Galaxy Watch, they look better. Same with the phone, Pixels, "without" 5g support (unless you want to root it right away)! I also prefer Galaxy.
btw: For me, watches ("digital"), only angular ones, so I use AW7. The same with the phone, while Google is trimming, simplifying, digging up Android, iOS seems to have gone from a rather confusing pasquil that was trimmed to death to become a pretty cool system, albeit still with limitations...
btw2: it's funny that Apple uses a chip that's about 3 years old, and probably the inside of the watch, AW(5),6,7,8 and Ultra, basically have the same guts inside, it differs in a few details and functions. That was also the reason I didn't buy the Ultra in the end!
Hopefully they will improve it next year, both the CPU and at least 2GB of RAM would be fine (those AW7s aren't that fast).
