Today, Apple ranks among the most popular companies in the world with relatively successful products. Undoubtedly, the most popular are his Apple iPhones, which are considered to be one of the best on the market. In a way, we can also find a number of shortcomings with them. In recent years, the apple company has also been blamed for not trying so hard to bring any innovations. It also makes sense in a way. Apple ranks among the most valuable companies in the world, which makes it safer for him to bet on the safe side and not experiment so much. But the question is whether such an approach is correct.
Looking at the current development of the mobile phone market, a rather interesting discussion opened up. In order to master it, it is quite possible that the manufacturer in question has the courage and is not afraid to dive into new things. But as we mentioned above, Apple takes a slightly different approach and rather relies on what it knows works. Alternatively, on the contrary, he is waiting for a suitable opportunity.
Apple lacks courage
This can be beautifully seen in a rather specific example – the flexible phone market. In connection with Apple, countless different speculations and leaks have already appeared, which discussed the development of a flexible iPhone. So far, however, we have not seen anything like this, and no more reliable source, for example in the form of respected analysts, has provided any more detailed information. On the contrary, in this case, the South Korean Samsung bet on a completely different procedure and practically showed the whole world what it takes to dominate the market. Although Samsung is a globally known technology giant, it was not afraid to take a little risk and literally jumped headfirst into an opportunity that no one else applied for. After all, that is why we have now seen the fourth generation of flexible phones - Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 - which push the boundaries of this segment one step further.
In the meantime, however, Apple is still dealing with one and the same problem, namely the notch, while rival Samsung has literally conquered the entire flexible phone market. At first, it was expected that Apple would react to this trend only when all the flies of these phones were caught. Now, however, public opinion is starting to turn and people are asking themselves whether Apple has, on the contrary, wasted its opportunity, or whether it is too late to enter the world of flexible phones. At least one thing clearly follows from this. Samsung can certainly be proud of dozens of tested prototypes, know-how, valuable experience, and above all an already established name, while with the Cupertino giant we have no idea what we can actually expect from it.
News for iPhone
In addition, this approach does not necessarily apply only to the flexible phone market, or vice versa. In general, it can be said that for the already mentioned control of the market, you simply need to have courage. The same one that Apple had when the first iPhone was introduced, when the world was able to relearn finger control via the touch screen. In exactly the same way, Samsung is now going about it - teaching its users to use flexible phones and exploring their main advantages.
It is therefore a question of how Apple will react to the whole development and what it will brag about to its fans. At the same time, it is equally unclear whether flexible phones have a successful future or, on the contrary, an early loss of popularity. However, as we mentioned above, Samsung clearly shows us in this regard that its Galaxy Z series phones are gaining more attention year after year. Do you have faith in flexible phones or do you think they have no future?
I wouldn't buy a flexible phone. I think that sooner or later there will be disadvantages and also malfunctions, as was the case, for example, with the so-called clamshells
I have the same opinion
Apple simply became a manufacturing company under Cook's leadership. Cook is not a visionary, but a businessman, so even if someone comes up with an idea, he first looks at it from his business point of view, how much it could earn or lose, and he does not care at all whether it is innovative or not. Jobs was simply a visionary and brought many innovations. Cook brought nothing new, Lautr nothing.
Jobs was truly a visionary, he was able to create a brand out of nothing that completely disrupted the market of IBM and other established giants. But Apple is in a completely different situation today. It is no longer a small predatory company trying to break through, quite the opposite. Cook is a great asset to Apple as he is a great helmsman to steer this behemoth. They are two completely different people, but they lead the company in completely different situations. For me, Cook is a great choice and I don't miss innovation in the form of flexible phones at all. For the price of a slightly larger display in your pocket, there are too many disadvantages and problems...
I personally had the opportunity to try the Z Flip, and from the first impression of wow, in about 5 minutes I came to the fact that it is ergonomically useless, every time I needed to do something with the phone, I had to open it. In other words, you have to make an unnecessary move every time.
The bendable phone market? In fact, it's just a Samsung fad and not a blockbuster, no wonder Apple isn't interested. Interest would be even less than the iP mini, which he canceled.
Exactly, I just see it as a desperate attempt at some kind of innovation. But what bendable phones bring as advantages is just a slightly larger display. But the phone is more expensive, more fragile, twice as thick with lower battery life, and when it is folded it looks strange - it's like a brick. This means you always have to make an extra move - always take the phone apart before using it... too many problems at the cost of a slightly larger display, I'm also not at all surprised that Apple hasn't come out with a bendable iPhone yet and probably won't come out in the near future.
According to the economic results, it can be seen that Apple has the most profitable business here and does not need advice from local "experts". Samsung is trying to push folding mobile phones, but in vain. Interest does not live up to expectations in the slightest.
Apple lacks the courage to start making crap…
flexible phones should return to their former form. At least as far as the dimensions and layout of the keyboard and display are concerned. And, of course, it is conceived in today's technologies. The keyboard can also be a screen that changes according to needs, and the display itself over the entire area of the wing, etc. ... a quality camera .... The main advantages should be size and durability. A beater with the dimensions of a smaller tablet is produced by everyone today and is just right for young bulls of the fcb type and others
