A poster for the movie Toy Story from Pixar Animation studio signed by Steve Jobs was auctioned off for an incredible $31 (approx. 250 crowns). The poster comes from 727, when the premiere of the first part of this iconic animated film took place.

The 60cm x 90cm poster features two central characters – the cowboy Woody and Buzz the Rocketeer, originally dubbed by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. In addition to them, it also features the iconic Pixar logo and, above all, the original signature of App co-founder Steve Jobs. The poster was signed by Jobs at the time when the first Toy Story was heading to the cinema screens.

According to auction company RR Auction, this is the second time a poster signed by Steve Jobs has gone up for auction. In the first case, it was promotional material for the Networld Expo event from 1992, which was auctioned two years ago for $19 (about 640 crowns).

But auctions also sold, for example, a newspaper clipping signed by Jobs (for $27), the first issue of Macworld magazine (for $47) or a job application (for $174).

Steve Jobs bought Pixar (formerly Graphics Group) in 1986 while he was working outside of Apple. He invested millions of dollars in the studio and served as chairman and later director. In 2006, Pixar earned Jobs roughly $4 billion. One of the buildings on the campus where the studio is located still bears Jobs' name.
