Since the introduction of Focus mode in 2021, Apple device owners can increase their productivity even more and customize the behavior of their devices. The mentioned tool allows you to stop receiving notifications that could distract you, and you can use the function in multiple situations - for example, while working and reading. What if you set up Focus mode on your Mac and want to share it across devices?

As you'd expect from the Apple ecosystem, sharing Focus modes between different devices is fairly simple. You can easily do so from your Mac, and we'll show you how in this article.

How to share Focus modes from your Mac

When you enable Focus mode sharing, all your Apple devices will display the same mode at the same time. For example, if you turn on Focus work mode on your Mac, it will also appear on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. If you don't want to manually turn on Focus modes for each of your Apple devices, you'll probably find this feature especially useful.

  • In the upper-left corner of your Mac screen, click Apple logo -> System Settings.
  • In the right pane of the System Settings window, click Concentration.
  • Now move to the main part of the System Settings window - in the section Share across devices simply activate the appropriate item.

After turning on this feature, you should be able to turn on the same Focus mode for all your devices at once. Cross-device compatibility is one of the biggest advantages of the Apple ecosystem. Focus Modes are a great way to make sure you don't get distracted while doing important tasks, and you can easily share them across all your devices with just a few clicks.
