What Home Office looks like through Apple's eyes

Unfortunately, we have had several problems this year. Probably the biggest panic and fear was caused by the global pandemic of the disease COVID-19, due to which governments around the world ordered limited interaction of people, teaching took place from home and companies, if they did not close completely, moved to the so-called home office, or work from home . Early yesterday, Apple shared a fun new ad that just points out the typical problems with the aforementioned move from the office to the home.

In this video, Apple shows us its products and their potential. We can notice, for example, the possibility to scan a document with the help of an iPhone, annotation of a PDF file, creation of reminders through Siri, Memoji, writing with the Apple Pencil, group FaceTime calls, AirPods headphones, the Measurement application on the iPad Pro and sleep monitoring with the Apple Watch. The entire seven-minute commercial revolves around a group of colleagues who are working on an important project and are facing the aforementioned problems. Among them we can include, for example, noisy children, the chaotic layout of the work itself, obstacles in communication and many others.

The trailer for the series Ted Lasso has been released, we have a lot to look forward to

The Californian giant is proud of a fairly extensive portfolio of services. Towards the end of last year, we saw the launch of a streaming platform called  TV+, with which Apple wants to compete with renowned companies. You may have already heard about the upcoming Ted Lasso comedy series. Jason Sudeikis, who you may remember from movies like Killing Bosses or Miller on a Trip, will play the main role in it.

In the series, Sudeikis will play a character named Ted Lasso. The whole story revolves around this personality, who comes from Kansas and represents a well-known American football coach. But the turning point occurs when he is hired by a professional English team, but in this case it will be European football. There will be a lot of jokes and funny events waiting for us in the series, and according to the trailer, we have to admit that we have a lot to look forward to.

European developers have reason to rejoice: They will receive protection and transparency

The European Union has ordered new regulations, thanks to which developers in particular have reason to rejoice. The App Store will now become a safer and more transparent place. The magazine reported on this news GamesIndustry. Under the new regulation, platforms that distribute apps will have to give developers a thirty-day period to remove the app. Specifically, this means that the creator must be notified thirty days in advance before their application is removed. Of course, the exception is cases where the software contains inappropriate content, security threats, malware, fraud, spam, and this also applies to applications that have suffered a data leak.

Another change will affect the aforementioned transparency. In the App Store, we can come across various rankings and trends, which will now be much more transparent and you can see exactly how the lists are generated. In this way, favoring different developers or studios should be avoided.

In addition, the Californian giant is currently under the scrutiny of the European Commission due to a potential monopoly, when the problems on the App Store were discussed above all. Not long ago, you could read about the controversial case with the Hey e-mail client in our summary. This application requires a subscription, while the creator solved the payments in his own way.
