In OS X, we were used to being able to have the dock automatically hidden, which was especially effective on smaller displays. We usually don't need to see app icons all the time, so they don't have to take up valuable space. In OS X El Capitan, Apple now allows you to hide the top menu bar as well.
Although the menu bar is more important for most users, because it contains, for example, the time, battery status, Wi-Fi and also the control of individual applications, however, there are situations when you need to use the screen of your Mac to the absolute maximum - then the hidden menu bar will surely fit
Activating its auto-hide is easy. IN System preferences check in the tab In general choice Automatically hide and show the menu bar. Then you will only see it if you move the cursor to the top of the screen.
I really don't need to see the status of the battery and Wi-Fi. He is a series of important offers, mainly so that I can see at all which application is currently active, and therefore which one I control (necessary when using shortcuts). I didn't really understand this option, but whatever... In addition, there is already a fullscreen mode to use the entire screen.
Anyone using 3 finger drag anything, noticed that option disappeared from El Captn?
I don't use this but nothing has gone away. It's all a question of setting gestures, which are partially set in Accessibility/Mouse & Trackpad/Trackpad Options... There is an item Enable dragging - select three finger drag. Of course, you have to take into account that the backward/forward motion with three fingers will not work and it affects other gestures as well.
I don't understand you now, it's just that when I compare the settings from the older version with the new one, it's different and the options are missing there..
I'm not at MAC here, but this caught my attention. After a clean installation, I found out that clicking on double-click works, but I can't grab and drag the window after double-clicking. I didn't drill into the settings then, so I'm watching this fiber with tension. :from
Yes, the settings are missing there, because they have been in Accessibility since Yosemite, as I already wrote.
Super thanks a lot Dalibor, I read the comment last time.. Thanks a lot, it works perfectly..
no ;)
