Many users wish there was an option to lock apps in iOS. Unfortunately, there is no reliable way in the system for now. There are apps that can replace the native ones and these can then be locked. However, even so, there is a fairly simple function in iOS with which you can lock almost any application. Although this is not an official procedure, it is very similar to locking. Let's show you how to activate it.

How to easily lock any app in iOS

On your iOS device ie. on iPhone or iPad, go to Settings. Then click on the option named here Screen time. If you don't have this feature activated yet, get it activate. At the same time, it is necessary for you to enjoy screen time they have set a code lock. You will then be this lock open even locked applications, so choose one that you will remember and at the same time different from the one you use to unlock your device. If you don't have a screen time code set yet, just scroll down in its preferences and press the button Use the Screen Time code. Then simply set up code and confirm it. Once you've set code security, click on the option Application Limits. Click on the option here Add constraints. A list will now appear application categories. Here you are tick all the apps you want lock with a code. Once you have selected the applications, click on the button in the upper right corner Další. For the time limit setting, choose a short period of time, for example 1 minute. Then in the upper right corner click on Add. You have now set a lock for the selected applications.

Now, whenever you want to turn on the locked application, you will see a timeout message. In order to get into the application, you have to click on the option at the bottom of the screen Ask for more time. Then click on the option Enter the Time code at the screen and the code se prove it. Then you just have to choose for what time you want to unlock the app. They are available three options – 15 minutes, an hour, or the whole day. To maintain safety, I recommend choosing as much as possible smallest interval. Note that if you select the option , then the application will ask you for a code again after 15 minutes - etc.

Although this is not an official option for locking an application. However, I definitely think that in an extreme emergency you can use this "detour" without any problems. No one else who knows your Screen Time password can get into the app, which can definitely come in handy in some situations. As I mentioned before, don't forget to choose a different code than the one you use to unlock your device. Anyone who knows your device password will immediately try that code to unlock the app.
