The Newsstand (Kiosk) app that first appeared in iOS 5. While it's a great manager of newspapers and magazines, those who don't use it don't like Newsstand very much. The application icon could not be hidden in a folder. However, that is now changing.
Developer Filippo Bigarella has created a simple Mac application that hides Newsstand in any iOS device with a single click. Everything is completely simple - you connect your iPhone or iPad with a cable, launch the StifleStand app, click a button Hide Newsstand and the icon suddenly finds itself in a folder aptly named Magic.
There are two important notes about the whole process – StifleStand does not require jailbreak, but Newsstand si cannot be hidden in the folder by those who normally use it. This is because the application restarts the entire springboard when launched from the folder.
However, the newly created folder can be renamed as desired and other applications can also be added to it. The only drawback is that the Newsstand icon doesn't appear in the folder, because the app itself is probably not ready for it, but that's not a big deal.
You can download StifleStand for free <a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1932/8043/files/200721_ODSTOUPENI_BEZ_UDANI_DUVODU__EN.pdf?v=1595428404" data-gt-href-en="https://en.notsofunnyany.com/">here</a> and use for any iOS device.
Done! :-)
What is the reason that Kiosk cannot be pushed into a folder? I tried that and nothing of course…
Let's call the store the spirit or strategy of Apple. Just to make people spend more on electricity. magazines that Apple will supply them with, etc. I personally call it luxury :) and it's what bothers people who are used to the open GPL. The same reason why AppleTV can't play DLNA and won't play MPEGs in mkv, etc., etc. :) It's just not like when I pay for something, I can do what I want with it, but on the contrary, I'm asked for more money and I'm what mostly forced to buy their other products, because they are incompatible with the surrounding world, etc. On the contrary, it offers the warmth of a functional ecosystem. It's just that the bricklayers are too rude in some places, well.
You pulled it quite by the hair, unfortunately :)
That folder cannot be hidden mainly because it is a folder in itself (that is, in the style in which it is opened, because it would not be possible to open a folder within a folder, right)...
Yes, Apple does not allow third parties into its ecosystem, or only minimally. And the result? An accessory that, if it has a license, is perfectly compatible and there is no problem with it. Applications that work, no spam or vacuum cleaners of personal and other data. ATV can't play downloaded series, that's true.
Apple would like to teach people that content should be paid for and not stolen. However, ATV does not prevent you from mirroring from other devices, from which you can play any MKV, MPG, AVI, subtitles, etc. And in the end... maybe the dumber among us will be squeezed :) The smarter ones will simply move Newsstand to the last screen, for example, and maybe just like I haven't run it since iOS 5 because they don't need/use/like it or what do I know. Since I've had this folder on the last page, Apple hasn't cooled me down one bit, as you seem to want :)
For me, the iBooks and Newsstand apps are "the same", one is for books and the other is for magazines
Why is one not a "component" and the other is or I don't know why one can be saved in a folder and the other can't, but I don't like it
I would love it if there was only one app called Library, for example, and it contained both magazines and books... but that's just my imagination ;)
Because it's programmed like that, why probably yay :).
yes, Peter, exactly as MajklTorrent writes. If it were the way you write, I would simply make it as an App like iBooks.
by the way, Apple is not trying to teach anyone anything, it's not about ideals, it's just about making money. That's all right, but the model is sometimes a little too aggressive and takes the user hostage. I'm surprised that he at least liked the MP3 format. I like Apple products, but I no longer share an uncritical view of everything. I miss the implementation of the otherwise globally widespread features/format/EVEN standard, which other companies offer for the benefit of user satisfaction and boast of compatibility, are the prestigious features of the product. Apple first stubbornly rejects it, then presents it as a solution and finally makes its own iVec, which is a hassle to buy for another $ :-)
Some things strike me as impudence, even to an enthusiastic Applist. as I wrote, I like Apple products, but I no longer share an uncritical view of everything.
I agree, then if you want to change the properties of the system, buy Android and don't use Apple products. Maybe you'll find satisfaction there, a million ports of entry and all.
I think the kiosk is just a special folder and on iOS you can't put a folder inside another folder. Too bad there's no other way to turn it off.
Would the author be willing to provide a link to the background? :) Is super
I want him too... :D
Well, I don't know, the kiosk is just a folder for a certain kind of application ;) ;) so since you can't put a folder in a folder, you can't put a kiosk in a folder.. Otherwise, I use it ;) for example, for cooking with Albert and a magazine here and there ;) it seems to me It's nice that it selects your casas so beautifully ;)

here is an even simpler procedure, without the need to connect.
