Many of you don't know that your iOS device can organize your contacts into groups. And now we will advise you how to do it.
What will we need?
1. Mac OS X and the Directory supplied with it
2. iCloud
How to do it?
1. Let's launch the application Address book.
2. Click on the start line File.
3. We choose New group and then name it.
4. Subsequently, you simply drag and drop contacts from the group All contacts to the selected group.
The next part is the synchronization:
iCloud (Mac OS X Lion)
1. We start again Address book.
2. Click on the tab Address book and select the option Preferences.
3. Here we either click on Activate your account or add an account iCloud.
iCloud (iOS)
1. We let go Settings.
2. Let's open a bookmark iCloud.
3. We turn on Synchronization of contacts.
4. If we have done everything correctly, we will start Contact.
5. An icon is displayed in the upper left corner Skupiny.

How do I choose which group a new contact should be added to on an iOS device?
Every time you want to add a new contact, you have to enter the given group and then add the contact.

Is there a way to make sure that contacts placed in one group are not added to the group at the same time? Alternatively, can I somehow add a third group, where I somehow copy all the current contacts en masse and mark them as personal contacts? Until now, I used all contacts as a single folder, but now that I will also have a second work folder, I don't want my work contacts to mix with the default personal folder - all contacts.
Groups work like filters. Therefore, it is necessary that they are also in the "group" All contacts, then you can add x groups and add as many contacts as you want.
Unfortunately it doesn't work. Just make two folders, one "personal" and the other "work" and don't use the group "all contacts" :)

Just go to the Cloud, click on the Groups icon, create a group and you can add contacts there.
That's true, but it's more convenient via "Adresář" :)
I probably need Lion for all this, right? I have a snowleopard and I don't have the iCloud option in the address book, but only my mac :(
It would be quite enough for me if the organization (company) could be seen in addition to the name in the list of contacts.
In the items available for the given contact, you can also enter the name of the company and it will be shown without problems under the name of the contact
The following is enough. Open the contact, select edit, add Field, click on the plus at the very bottom and select inclusion, and with it the company item will appear, so I can add Company XY and positions in the company, for example accountant
I would also like to see the company displayed during an incoming call, not just the first and last name
I'm asking for help, you don't know how to get email addresses from all emails in the Mail application to the address book or to one group in the address book?
…is there a way to use groups in iPhone contacts? This makes sense on Mac and iPad, but I would like to send an SMS to a group without having to write out individual numbers, etc., thank you.
Is it possible to find out which contacts are not assigned to any group?
I use GMail and synchronize contacts via Google, it seems more logical to me, because I immediately have up-to-date contacts in GMail, which I use every day.
The disadvantage is that I can forget about contact groups. :(
And actually I have one more drawback, then I haven't figured out how to synchronize contacts between GMail and Google Apps Mail, which would be nice if I don't have to maintain two address books.
there are also applications for this, such as Gorups, etc... some with restrictions are free and you can do grouping directly from the iPhone (I don't have an iPad, so I don't know)...
I use the Grouping lite application and it is very easy to add groups, move individual contacts between groups, and see how many contacts are in which group. It also allows mass sending of emails to people from a given group.
