If you are one of the regular readers of our magazine, you surely did not miss this year's first Apple conference a few months ago. It was the WWDC developer conference, where we traditionally saw the presentation of new operating systems from Apple. Specifically, the apple company came up with iOS and iPadOS 15, macOS 12 Monterey, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15. All these operating systems were available in early access immediately after the presentation, first for all developers and then also for testers. At the moment, these systems, with the exception of macOS 12 Monterey, are already available to the general public. In our magazine, we are constantly looking at news from new systems, and in this article we will look at a new option from watchOS 8.

How to share photos via Messages and Mail on Apple Watch

Apple spent a relatively long time improving the Photos app when introducing watchOS 8. If you open Photos in an older version of watchOS, you can only view a few dozen or hundreds of selected photos here - and that's the end of it. In watchOS 8, in addition to this selection of photos, you can also display memories and recommended photos. In addition to the fact that you can view these photos directly on your wrist, you can also easily share them directly, either through the Messages or Mail application, which can be useful in certain situations. The procedure is as follows:

  • First, on your Apple Watch with watchOS 8, you need to move to application list.
  • Once you've done that, find and click the app in the list of apps Photos.
  • Then find specific photo, that you want to share, and open it.
  • Then press the s button at the bottom right of the screen share icon.
  • It will be displayed next interface, in which you can share a photo very easily.
  • You can share it selected contacts, as the case may be below you will find application icons News a Mail
  • After choosing one of the ways to share, it's enough fill in the other details and send the photo.

So, using the above method, you can easily share images from the redesigned native Photos app within watchOS 8. If you will share the photo via Messages, you must select a contact and optionally attach a message. When sharing via Mail, you must fill in the recipient, subject, and message as such. In addition, you can also create a watch face from a specific photo of your choice.
