If you own an Apple Watch, you surely know that its main task is primarily to monitor your activity and encourage you to do something every day. In general, with its products, Apple tries to take care of the health of its users, which you can notice, for example, in the sophisticated Health application, where you can find all kinds of information about your hearing, heart, activity and others. Whenever you are going to exercise with Apple Watch, you should tell them what activity you are going to do. This is so that the Apple Watch can accurately measure your activity, as performing different activities requires a different amount of energy and movement. However, there is a trick that Apple Watch can use to select the type of exercise automatically. Then, when you detect exercise only on Apple Watch, the sport that the watch has recognized will appear. You either confirm this activity or change the exercise mode.

How to activate automatic exercise detection on Apple Watch

On your iPhone paired with your Apple Watch, open the native app Watch. In the bottom menu, make sure you are in the section My watch. After that, ride something below, until you hit the section Exercises, which you click. After that, it is enough to lose something again below, where the option for automatic exercise detection in the form of functions is already found Exercise start reminder and Exercise end reminder. If both of these functions you activate so the watch will automatically announce the start and end of your exercise. Of course, you can also set this function directly to Apple Watch, and that in Settings -> Exercise. There is already a function of the same name here, which is enough activate.

Automatic exercise detection is available on all Apple Watches except Series 0 (original). Whether you have an Apple Watch Series 1 or an Apple Watch Series 5, both of the aforementioned functions should appear here. Although both functions are activated by default in newer generations, I have already encountered several times that they were deactivated in older models.
