Apple Pencil could be used with Mac in the future (26/7)

More than two years ago, Apple patented the technology that allows you to use the Apple Pencil with the trackpad on the MacBook or with the Magic Trackpad. However, this patent only came to light this spring, and the patent office approved everything last week.

However, the Apple Pencil described in the patent is much more sophisticated than the current iPad Pro stylus. The new generation could also serve as an imaginary joystick and could easily replace a mouse. The patent states that the new pencil will be able to record horizontal movement in three axes, rotation including the current orientation to the paired device.

The new Apple Pencil could thus be another great accessory for all designers, graphic artists and artists. However, the question remains whether we will ever see it. Apple has hundreds of patents approved, and many of them have never seen the light of day.

A rare Apple 1 from The Celebration edition is up for auction (26/7)

It will start already on Monday another charity auction to CharityBuzz, which will be auctioning off a one-of-a-kind and never-used Apple 1 computer from The Celebration Edition. It saw the light of day in 1976 in the garage of Steve Jobs' father. Only 175 of them were produced in total, and around sixty pieces have survived to this day. Ten percent of the auctioned amount will go to the treatment of leukemia and lymphatic diseases. According to initial estimates, the final amount could reach up to one million US dollars.

This piece of Apple 1 never went on sale in its life. In addition, it contains complete documentation, accessories and diagrams.

iPhone 7 to come in space black and Force Touch Home button (27/7)

Last week, there were new speculations and leaks about the expected iPhone 7, which Apple should present at the next conference. According to new information, the new model could feature a completely new and redesigned Home Button. It will not be a classic button that we are all used to, but it should use Force Touch technology. This is currently available, for example, in the twelve-inch MacBook. Touch ID should also be much faster and, thanks to the absence of a button, the iPhone 7 could also be waterproof.

Another piece of information is that the iPhone 7 should be available in a new color variant – space black. The concept is very similar to the images published by the well-known graphic artist Martin Hajek. In all the pictures it is then possible to see an iPhone without a jack connector.

Pre-orders for the new iPhone are scheduled to start on September 9 (27/7)

Leaker Evan Blass predicted on Twitter last week that pre-orders for the new iPhone 7 should start as early as September 9. Originally, Blass assumed that it would be up to a week longer, from September 12 to 16. It is therefore obvious that Apple wants to start selling the new iPhone as soon as possible and thus affect the company's financial results for the fourth quarter. The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, has clearly stated that he expects a decline in sales.

The crown from the Apple Watch could theoretically make its way to iPhones and iPads as well (July 28)

Apple owns hundreds of patents, and in addition to the Force Touch Home button mentioned above, it was revealed last week that the Californian company also patented the control crown from the Apple Watch for iOS devices. It could theoretically appear on iPhones and iPads in places where the button for turning off and on the device is currently located, or on the other side instead of the volume control. According to the described patent, the crown could be used not only to control the volume, but also, for example, to zoom in on text and photos, take screenshots of the display, or serve as a practical camera trigger. Additionally, it could bring a device with no bezels around the display.

However, it is likely that we will never see such an improvement. That being said, Apple patents almost everything in case it needs something in the future, but it often doesn't use its patents.
