Nuance, whose technology powers Siri, could be bought by Samsung (16/6)

Nuance Communications, the maker of speech recognition software, is said to be in the middle of negotiations over its sale. It's unclear what stage the deals are at, but Nuance could reportedly be bought by Samsung. Nuance's technology is used to receive orders using voice. We can find it in mobile phones, televisions or GPS navigation systems. It is Samsung that uses the services of this company in almost all of its most popular products, and soon the South Korean company's watches should also be among them. How the deal would affect Apple, whose Siri also uses Nuance software, is not yet known.

Kanye West: Apple wouldn't have bought Beats if Jay Z hadn't collaborated with Samsung (17/6)

According to American hip hop artist Kanye West, one of the main reasons for Apple's big purchase of Beats was his colleague Jay-Z's collaboration with Samsung. Last year, Jay-Z gave his new album exclusively to Samsung phone owners a few days early. According to West, this reminded Apple how important it is to stay in touch with music culture. West himself is said not to be a fan of Samsung, because he was "raised by his parents to always work only with 1s", and therefore he is a supporter of Apple, and especially Steve Jobs. West says that it was after the death of Jobs, whom he admired so much for "fighting to simplify people's lives", that Apple began to distance itself from music culture, and the acquisition of Beats could be a way to get back to a close relationship with music.

Apple and Samsung are said to be trying to find peace again in the patent war (June 18)

According to the Korean Times magazine, Apple and Samsung are trying to find a common way out of the seemingly endless patent war. According to the magazine's sources, both sides are trying to reduce the number of disputed questions and thus reach a practical solution. Last week, for example, the companies agreed to lift a ban on the sale of older Samsung products that could not be sold due to Apple's patent infringement. According to another source, Apple would mainly like to keep Samsung as its main component supplier. Samsung's recent introduction of a tablet with an OLED display suggests that the South Korean company is capable of integrating these displays into all wearables; an area in which Apple shows great interest.

A rare piece of the original iPhone appeared on eBay (18/6)

If you have a hard-earned 300 crowns hidden in your closet under your clothes, you now have an amazing opportunity to spend it on eBay in a few seconds for original, unboxed 4GB first generation iPhone. This version of the first iPhone was only available in the United States for four months. Only 6 million units were sold in the first quarter, which makes it something of a rarity, but it's up to everyone to decide if it's a rarity enough to spend what the seller says it's worth.

In the end, however, the rare apple product was sold even before we could inform about it. Someone actually invested three hundred thousand crowns.

Apple opened a second factory producing sapphire glass (June 18)

Apple has added a smaller building in Salem, Massachusetts to its massive Arizona sapphire glass factory. It is not yet clear what the main purpose of this branch will be. Apple can produce more full-fledged sapphire glasses in it, or it could just use it as a testing center. There is also talk that Apple plans to expand its factory in Arizona, even to such a large complex. This sparked speculation that Apple could do so depending on the upcoming release of the iWatch, the glass of which could be sapphire. But more likely is the possibility that the potential expansion of sapphire glass production is dependent on the placement of Touch ID sensors, which are protected by sapphire glass against scratches, in all new iPads. Apple also uses sapphire glass as a protective filter for the rear camera of iPhones.

A week in a nutshell

Apple prefers to check everyone's iPhone chargers, and if you happen to come across a faulty series, the Californian company will replace it for free. There was a program to exchange potentially defective chargers started even in Europe. The sale of a new product was also launched - Apple decided to introduce more affordable iMac, albeit with significantly chopped entrails.

We waited new beta versions of the operating systems iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, the latter, however, probably won't please the owners of older MacBooks, who due to Bluetooth may not be able to use the Handoff function.

However, the more affordable iMac is not what all users are waiting for. However, Apple's chief designer Jony Ive before another big product moderate pressure. They say it takes patience. However, a new product was introduced by Wikipad, it is about game controller for iPad mini called Gamevice. And in the end Adobe also presented new products - big update for Creative Cloud and also very interesting tools for designers.
