"Hey Siri" saved a young child's life (7/6)

Just before the rumored update to Siri in the new iOS, a story happened in Australia that may inspire Apple to develop a voice assistant. Stacey, the mother of a one-year-old girl, was horrified to discover one evening that her daughter had stopped breathing. While trying to clear her airway, Stacey dropped her iPhone on the floor, but thanks to the "Hey Siri" feature, she was still able to call an ambulance without having to stop caring for the little girl. When the ambulance arrived at Stacey's house, her daughter was breathing again. The girl's family advises all parents to familiarize themselves with the functions of their phones, as they can sometimes save a life.

Steve Jobs was already interested in the car in 2010 (June 9)

In 2010, Steve Jobs met with Bryan Thompson, an industrial designer, to discuss a car called the V-Vehicle that Thompson was currently working on. During their meeting, during which Jobs was able to see the car, the then Apple boss gave Thompson some advice.

According to Jobs, Thompson should have focused mainly on plastic materials that would make the car up to 40 percent lighter than steel vehicles and also 70 percent cheaper. It is said that Jobs had a vision of an all-plastic car that would run on gasoline and would be available to drivers for only 14 dollars (335 crowns). Thompson also got some interior advice from the Apple executive. Jobs recommended a sharper design that evokes a sense of precision.

The V-Vehicle project eventually failed, largely due to cuts in government funding, and Jobs focused mainly on the iPhone during this period. However, as we can see, the Apple Car, the car on which the Californian company is likely to focus its attention now, has been a planned product for a long time.
