The iPhone XS Max has only been in the world for a while, but testing by DisplayMate Technologies has already confirmed that its display ranks at the top of the list. The improvement over the previous generation is not only a matter of course in terms of electronics, so the iPhone XS Max can boast, for example, higher brightness or better color fidelity as part of a significantly better display.

DisplayMate reports that the iPhone XS Max has the highest full-screen brightness (up to 660 nits for the sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts), making the display significantly more visible even in very bright light. Last year's iPhone X achieved "only" 634 nits in tests in this direction. DisplayMate's measurements further showed that the iPhone XS Max's display had a reflectance of 4,7%, which is almost the lowest value ever measured for a smartphone. This low reflectivity, along with the high brightness, make the iPhone XS Max a phone that DisplayMate calls a very impressive high-end smartphone as a result.

Based on laboratory tests and measurements, the iPhone XS Max received an award from experts for the best display. The latest Apple smartphone was also rated A+, the highest, because the performance of its display is demonstrably better than that of other competing smartphones. DisplayMate, which has been providing display calibration software to consumers and technicians since 1991, published on its site a comprehensive report on the results of the testing.
