iPhone XS, XS Max iPhone XR by Apple presented as part of yesterday's Keynote, they have – just like a couple of previous generations of Apple smartphones – an NFC reader. But with this year's iPhones, Apple has introduced a complete innovation in this regard: users will no longer need to launch the relevant application to read the NFC tag. The iPhone XS, like the iPhone XR, is able to scan and read NFC tags in the background without the owner having to open the app first.

Starting the application is a condition for reading the NFC tag on last year's iPhone X and iPhone 8. For the new models, owners just need to wake up the phone and point it at the corresponding NFC tag. After this simple step, a prompt will automatically appear to open the given application and transfer the information from the NFC tags to the phone. New iPhones are able to read the NFC tag in this way only if the display is on, but the phone is not unlocked. Such loading of the NFC tag cannot occur if the phone has just been rebooted, is switched to Airplane mode, or payment is in progress via the Apple Pay service. The system only supports NDEF tags, ending with URLs, registered in Apple's Universal Link System. Although at first glance this is a negligible improvement, it greatly increases the usability and versatility of the new iPhones.

Apple introduced the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max yesterday. The iPhone XS comes with better water resistance and more durable glass. The smaller iPhone is called the XS Max, it has a 6,5-inch display with a resolution of 2688 x 1242 pixels, and like its larger sibling, it also offers improved stereo sound. Both new iPhones are equipped with an A12 Bionic processor. The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max also now support the DSDS (Dual SIM Dual Standby) mode, the eSIM version will also be available in the Czech Republic, the Dual-SIM model will be sold in China.
