The introduction of the iPhone 13 series is already slowly knocking on the door. Even so, various speculations and leaks are already spreading about the upcoming iPhone 14 generation, for which we will have to wait over a year. The latest information now comes from analysts at JP Morgan Chase, drawing on well-informed sources. According to them, the iPhone 14 will come with a fundamental change, when instead of the stainless steel frame that is on Apple phones with the Pro designation, for example, now, we will get a titanium frame.

iPhone 13 Pro render:

It will be a fundamental change for Apple, as it has so far relied exclusively on aluminum or stainless steel for its phones. Currently, the giant from Cupertino in titanium only offers some Apple Watch Series 6, which, by the way, are not even sold in the Czech Republic, and the Apple Card. But of course it is also not available in our region. Compared to stainless steel, it is a significantly harder and more durable material, which is not so prone to scratches, for example. At the same time, it is stiffer and therefore less flexible. Specifically, it is as strong as steel, but 45% lighter. To top it off, it also has higher corrosion resistance. Of course, it also carries some negatives. For example, fingerprints are much more visible on it.

Apple could address these shortcomings with a special coating that would perfectly "decorate" the surface and, for example, minimize possible fingerprints. However, as mentioned above, only models from the Pro series will probably get a titanium frame. The regular iPhone 14 will have to settle for aluminum due to lower costs. Analysts then added a few interesting facts. According to them, the legendary Touch ID will return to Apple phones, either in the form of a fingerprint reader under the display, or in a button like the iPad Air.
