Apparently, Apple has really succeeded in the new iPhone models. Just as the camera is reaping success, the display itself has also caught on.

According to the evaluation of the independent server DisplayMate received iPhone 11 Pro Max highest grade so far A+. The server thus appreciated the quality of the display, which stands out above all the competition in the smartphone category.

DisplayMate thoroughly tested the screen of the iPhone 11 Pro Max and found major improvements over the previous generation of displays. When compared to the iPhone XS Max, there was an improvement in screen brightness, color rendering and fidelity, a reduction in glare, and at the same time an improvement in energy management by 15%.

Better than any other smartphone, but also 4K UHD TV, tablet

Apple continues to advance the capabilities of its displays and image quality, as well as color rendering. Thanks to the precise factory calibration of the screens, the overall presentation moves beyond the current limits and matches many records in areas such as color fidelity with 0,9 JNCD. This is almost indistinguishable to the eye from a perfect display and at the same time better than any other smartphone, but also 4K UHD TV, tablet, laptop or monitor sold.

The new iPhone 11 Pro Max also broke the record for the maximum brightness limit, when it reached 770 nits and 820 nits, which is twice that achieved by commonly sold smartphones. Compared to its predecessor, the iPhone XS Max, the iPhone 11 Pro Max offers many improvements. We can name, for example, a 17% higher maximum brightness or a 15% overall more economical display.

You can find the full test on the server DisplayMate including testing methodology in English here. So Apple rightly calls the screens of the iPhone 11 Pro Max Super Retina XDR.
