If you are one of our regular readers, then you certainly did not miss the information about the upcoming iPad with an OLED panel. Several sources have already spoken about the fact that Apple is working on bringing OLED technology to its tablets, and the first piece should be the iPad Air. According to this information, he should offer display improvements as early as next year. But now Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), the association of display experts, comes up with a different claim. We won't see an iPad with an OLED display until 2023.

Last year's iPad Air 4th generation:

For now, Apple only uses OLED technology in iPhones, the Apple Watch and for the Touch Bar in the MacBook Pro. Since it is a significantly more expensive technology, its implementation in larger products is therefore understandably more expensive. Nevertheless, it can be said with certainty that it is being worked on and it is therefore only a matter of time before we actually see it. As already mentioned above, the iPad Air should be the first to receive it, which is now confirmed by DSCC. According to their claims, it will be an iPad with a 10,9″ AMOLED display, which of course refers to the popular Air model. In addition, the same prediction was previously shared by other verified portals, including the respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He also shared an interesting news earlier. According to him, the iPad Air will be the first to see it, in 2022. In any case, the mini-LED technology will remain reserved only for the Pro model.

In the end, DSCC adds that Apple is planning to cancel the Touch Bar in the future. Today, we could call this a fairly well-known "fact," which has been talked about for several months. The expected MacBook Pros, which the giant from Cupertino should introduce later this year, should get rid of the Touch Bar and replace it with classic function keys. How about an iPad with an OLED display? Would you buy it?
