Apple started today's September keynote with the presentation of the brand new iPad of the 9th generation. Right from the start, Tim Cook, Apple's chief executive, pointed out the possibilities of Apple tablets, a number of extensions and their constant growth. For example, the Cupertino giant saw a 40% increase in iPads in the last year alone. The iPadOS system also has its share in this, which makes the iPad a completely universal device. But what is new in the case of the new generation?

Performance

In terms of performance, the new iPad moves several levels forward. Apple has incorporated the powerful Apple A13 Bionic chip into it. This change makes the tablet 20% faster compared to the previous generation. Anyway, it doesn't end here. At the same time, the iPad is up to three times faster than the best-selling Chromebook, and even 6 times faster than an Android tablet. You will be able to enjoy the performance on the 10,2″ Liquid Retina display with TrueTone support.

Front camera

The front camera has received a huge improvement, which has improved noticeably. Specifically, we received an ultra-wide-angle 12MP lens with a 122° field of view. Following the example of the iPad Pro, Apple also bet on the excellent Central Stage function. In the case of video calls, it can automatically detect people in the shot and place them in the center of the scene itself. In addition to native FaceTim, programs such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and others can also use the function.

Availability and price

The new iPad will be available to order in two colors after today's keynote. Specifically, it will be silver and space gray. The price will start at just $329 for the version with 64GB of storage. Student pricing will even start at just $299. At the same time, there will be a choice between Wi-Fi and Cellular (Gigabit LTE) versions.
