The Moleskine company is famous mainly for its paper diaries and notebooks, but in its offer you will also find a relatively rich range of digital tools. In one of our previous articles we introduced the Timepage application, today we will take a closer look at the digital notebook called Moleskine Journey.

Appearance

One of the strengths and typical features of Moleskine apps is their distinctive design. It is very simple, but at the same time sophisticated and really great looking. After launching the application, you will be greeted by a trio of introductory screens that will briefly introduce you to the purpose of the Moleskine Journey application. You can use the Sign in with Apple function to register. After logging in/registration, a quick setup of synchronization and notifications follows, and then you can already discover the individual functions of the application. The main page of the application is divided into sections – photo diary, journal for notes, menu, planner and goals for the day. The “+” button in the lower right corner is used for quick addition of content, in the upper part you will find the button to change the arrangement and export, and in the upper left corner there is a basic menu for settings, preferences, search, synchronization, tips or perhaps search.

Function

Moleskine Journey is a digital journal with rich possibilities for adding content. For each day, you can add photo documentation, a classic entry, an overview of what you had to eat, plans for the future, or tick off accomplished goals. Adding records is very simple and is a matter of a few clicks. In addition to text and photos, you can also add drawings and sketches to individual days. Of course, it is possible to change the dark and light theme, import and export to other applications of this type, the possibility to view the history and easy and quick change of the layout of the visual page of your diary. You can synchronize the diary with the Calendar on your iPhone and share the entries with other users, or transfer them to other applications.

Finally

A huge disadvantage of the Moleskine Journey application is the too short free trial period (only one week) and practically zero opportunity to use the application for free (without a subscription you only have read-only mode available). In terms of appearance, functions and performance, however, the Moleskine Journey cannot be faulted. The subscription to the Moleskine Journey app is 119 crowns per month, new users can take advantage of the annual plan for 649 crowns.
