Of course, the Californian giant is constantly trying to expand the Accessibility section and thus comes up with new options that will definitely come in handy. And he was not idle even in the latest iOS 16 system, in which several novelties are now available.

iOS 16: How to add a custom sound for Voice Recognition

Not long ago, Apple expanded the Accessibility section of Sound Recognition. As the name suggests, this feature allows deaf iPhone users to be alerted to a sound through notifications and vibrations. It can be, for example, all kinds of fire and smoke alarms, sirens, animals, sounds from the household (i.e. knocking on the door, bells, breaking glass, running water, boiling kettles, etc.). The list of all supported sounds that the iPhone can recognize is long. However, in iOS 16, an option has been added, thanks to which it is possible to add custom sounds for audio recognition. The procedure is as follows:

  • First, you need to switch to the native app on your iOS 16 iPhone Settings.
  • Once you've done that, scroll down and click on the titled section Disclosure.
  • Then scroll down in this section until you come across a category Hearing.
  • Within this category, tap to open a row Sound recognition.
  • Here then it is necessary that you function Sound recognition they had switched on.
  • Then open the box below Sounds.
  • This will take you to the se section sounds to recognize, where it is already possible to set your own sounds.

So it is possible to easily add custom recognition sounds on your iPhone in iOS 16 using the above procedure. In particular, you can add your own sounds from the area of ​​alarms and household appliances or doorbells. In the first case, i.e. to add your own alarm, click in the category Alarms na Custom alarm.
