It's been a little over two weeks since Apple officially released iOS 12 to all users with a compatible device. The introduction of the new operating system was initially relatively slow, as if users were not very keen on the new one. After two weeks, the situation is significantly better and the new operating system is found on less than half of all active iOS devices.

The share of operating systems among active iOS products currently looks like iOS 46 is installed on 12% of them, iOS 46 on the other 11% and older operating systems from Apple on the remaining 7%. Although the arrival of the novelty was very lukewarm (the transition to iOS 12 was slower than in the case of iOS 11 and iOS 10), now the speed of installation has accelerated, and currently the "twelve" is spreading faster than its predecessor exactly a year ago.

Two weeks after the release of iOS 11, this system managed to reach 38% of all active iOS devices. The so-called The "adoption rate" in the case of iOS 12 is the same after two weeks as it was in the case of iOS 10. These numbers are relatively surprising, since the newly published system does not contain any long-awaited and "revolutionary" innovations in the operating system environment. It is more of an optimization and fine-tuning release. Another positive side compared to iOS 11 is the minimum of errors that accompany the new system (except for a few exception).

The data comes from the analytical company Mixpanel, which deals with research of a similar nature. We do not yet have official data on the prevalence of iOS 12. Apple is expected to boast moments when the share exceeds 50%. If we get to see the keynote in October, we will probably find out the official values of the iOS 12 extension there as well.
