The popular social service Instagram announced a third application on Monday. After turning to videos six months ago and she issued tool for recording stabilized Hyperlapse video, we now return to photography. The Layout from Instagram application focuses on the simple creation of collages, which are increasingly popular on Instagram or Facebook.

As with Hyperlapse, this is a separate application that, although it allows for sharing on Instagram (the resulting collages are square), but it can also be used without an account on this network. After starting Layout, we don't have to log in anywhere, but we can start creating collages right away.

Layout tries to make this process as easy as possible, so after clicking on the application icon, we immediately find ourselves in the overview of the last photos taken and we can start choosing images that are suitable for our collage. At the same time, it can have different layouts when using two to nine "windows", and a preview of the new layout is immediately available.

The layout can be easily adjusted on the next screen by changing the size of individual boxes or mirroring the image. With these simple tools, in a few seconds you can create a simple mosaic made up of snapshots with friends, but with the use of a little imagination, relatively interesting compositions can also be created.

After confirmation, the resulting collage is saved in the Camera folder and, for clarity, is also placed in the Layout album. The image can then be shared directly from the application on Instagram, Facebook or (via the iOS dialog) other applications.

Another interesting feature is the built-in camera, which can take up to four pictures sequentially - after one second. That is, similar to passport photo machines, which are often used to capture moments with friends rather than passport photos. These images are also saved in iOS and are immediately available for further editing in the mosaic.
