The popular iOS video editing application, which is free for all iPhone and iPad owners - iMovie, has received a new major update that brings several long-awaited features.

Apple released the new update yesterday afternoon and has been available through the App Store ever since. Among the most important news are the possibility of implementing a green screen effect for the needs of inserting your own background, 80 new background tracks for creating video clips, significantly modified support for working with ordinary photos, support for ClassKit and much more. From the official list of changes we can mention for example:

  • Support for green/bluescreen, which allows you to insert your own background into the image with wide setting options
  • 80 new songs to underline your videos, across different genres with the option to extend the length according to the selected video track
  • Modified options for inserting photos and other images
  • Ability to create picture-in-picture collages and new transitions between two or more photos
  • Modified user interface
  • Support for the ClassKit school interface
