The iconic Apple Store on 5th Avenue in New York has been under renovation since 2017. As part of these works, for example, a giant glass cube, which has always been a symbol of the store, was removed. The reopening of this branch should not be long in coming, and store visitors can also look forward to the spectacular return of the legendary cube.

However, it is not yet clear what is happening in the premises of the old store - the glass cube is equipped with a colored layer that prevents the interior from being seen. All we know for sure so far is that Apple has decided to double the size of its 5th Avenue store. The store premises are located below ground level and visitors can get inside by elevator.

A sign on one of the walls of the glass cube proclaims that the gates of a space where creativity is always welcome will soon open at the site. According to Apple, the store will be "open to the bright world and the big ideas of the city" 24 hours a day, ready to inspire visitors to what they can do, discover and make next. However, the specific date cannot be found either on any of the walls of the cube or on the Internet. But it can be expected that the store will open its doors to the public as soon as possible.

News website Quartz reported that a film crew showed up at the cube. One of its members later stated that a new commercial is currently being filmed here as part of the reopening of the store. According to an Apple spokesperson, the colored layer covering the glass cube is only temporary, and when the store opens, the entrance to the store will have the same clear appearance as before its renovation.

The 5th Avenue location is among Apple's flagship stores, and it's possible that Apple will reveal details about its reopening as early as tomorrow's Keynote.
