The Apple brand store on New York's Fifth Avenue, after a long-term renovation, will open its doors again today, on the day of the official start of sales of new iPhones. Apple offered those who could not attend the opening a glimpse of the redesigned store yesterday. Just like before the renovation, the exterior of the store is dominated by the iconic glass cube.

The premises of the store are currently almost twice as large as they were before the renovation, as part of the modifications, the ceiling was raised and natural light was allowed to penetrate better. Part of the store is the Forum - a space for events within the Today at Apple program. The first of these events will take place here on Saturday and will focus on the creative spirit of New York City. The space designated for Genius services has also doubled, thanks to which the service will run even better. The Fifth Avenue location will continue to be the only location open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

"Our customers are at the center of everything we do, and Apple on Fifth Avenue is designed to inspire them and be the best place for them to discover our latest products," said Tim Cook, emphasizing the uniqueness of the location, which according to him now even more beautiful than ever before. "We are proud to be a part of this great city with so much going on every day," he said.

The first opening of this store took place in 2006, when incoming visitors were greeted by Steve Jobs himself. The Apple Store on 5th Avenue managed to welcome more than 57 million visitors. The reopened store also features a stainless steel spiral staircase consisting of 43 steps. After that, customers enter the interior of the store. But they can also get here by elevator. The store ceiling is designed to combine artificial and natural lighting in accordance with the time of day. The space in front of the shop is lined with twenty-eight tall sinkers and fountains, and invites you to sit and relax.

Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's new head of retail, said the new premises were absolutely inspiring and that all staff had been hard at work preparing for the grand opening. The store on Fifth Avenue will have 900 employees speaking more than thirty languages.

The store will feature the newly introduced Apple Watch Studio, where customers can put together their own Apple Watch, and trained specialists will be on hand to help customers set up their newly purchased iPhones. In the store, it will also be possible to use the Apple Trade In program, under which users will be able to get a new iPhone more advantageously in exchange for their older model.

The Fifth Avenue Apple store will open tomorrow at 8 a.m. PT.
