Apple Watch from 2015 and a classic watch movement from 1890.

In Australia, he was one of the first to get the new Apple Watch server iFixit, which latest apple iron immediately subjected complete breakdown. Inside the Watch, we can see again the masterful work of the engineers, how they assembled the individual components next to each other.

To disassemble received iFixit 38mm variant of the Apple Watch Sport with a blue sports bracelet. After removing the tape, it was confirmed that even in the production series of the watch there is a hidden port, which will probably be used exclusively by Apple.

After removing the display, two of the main components of the watch appear – the Digital Crown and the Taptic Engine. Although the user will probably never look inside the Watch, Apple, as is its custom, has properly marked its watch with its own logo.

The battery in the 38mm Watch has a capacity of 205 mAh and, according to Apple, should provide 18 hours of operation (6,5 hours of music playback, 3 hours of phone calls, or 72 hours in the so-called Power Reserve mode). Additionally, Apple claims that the larger, 42mm version of the watch should last longer.

While disassembling the new S1 processor, technicians iFixit they came across, according to them, the smallest three-winged screws they had ever seen. They even had to buy new tools for it.

For Retina display iFixit guesses that it is indeed an AMOLED display from LG as previously speculated.

In the traditional repairability score, the 38mm Apple Watch Sport scored 5 out of 10. When you remove the display, which is probably the most difficult process, you open the way to the battery, which is already quite easy to replace. On the other hand, other components are practically irreplaceable, because most of the cables are soldered to the processor.
