Even before today's release of the new iOS 7 operating system, Apple updated the iCloud.com portal. It has completely transformed into the design of iOS 7. The user interface is significantly cleaner and graphically simplified, just like the operating system. No skeuomorphism, just colors, gradients, blurs and typography.

Right from the start, you'll be greeted with a login menu, behind which you'll see a blurred main screen. The menu of icons is the same as in iOS. Below the icons is a slightly dynamic colored background, which we had the opportunity to see in iOS 7. However, the change is not only for the icons, all previous applications in the service, Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Reminders, Find My iPhone, have received a redesign in the style of iOS 7 and resemble the iPad version, but adapted for the web interface. The arrow to return to the main menu has disappeared from the applications, instead we find a context menu hidden under the arrow next to the name of the application, which reveals other icons and allows you to switch directly to another application or to the home screen. Of course, it is also possible to use the back arrow in the browser.

Applications from iWork, which are still in beta, but are also available for non-developers, do not quite fit the new design. Given that the iOS version is also waiting for updates and, last but not least, the office suite for Mac, it can be expected that we will see some changes even later. The new design of iCloud.com is very welcome and goes along with the modernization of the appearance ala iOS 7. The recoloring of the portal is not completely new, this design we they could see already in mid-August on the beta version of the site (beta.icloud.com), but now it is available to everyone.
