When Apple introduces next week the new iPhone 6S, will no longer be able to claim to be the first smartphone to feature a pressure-sensitive display. The Chinese manufacturer Huawei has overtaken him today - Force Touch has its new Mate S phone.

The display, which reacts differently if you press harder on it, was first introduced by Apple with its Watch. But he is not the first to come with him on the phone. Huawei presented the Mate S at Berlin's IFA trade show, with which it weighed an orange in front of a cheering audience.

The weight function is of course only one of the many uses that Force Touch offers against current displays. On the Apple Watch, by pressing the display harder, the user can bring up another menu of options. In the Mate S, Huawei introduced the Knuckle Sense feature, which distinguishes the use of a finger from a knuckle.

For example, to quickly launch applications, the user can use his knuckle to write a letter on the display and the application will launch. In addition, Huawei addresses all users with the Force Touch Idea Lab, where it is possible to submit an idea for how differently and innovatively the pressure-sensitive display could be used.

The Huawei Mate S otherwise has curved glass on the 5,5-inch 1080p display, a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical stabilization and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is powered by Huawei's Kirin 935 octa-core processor, and the Mate S has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of capacity.

The catch, however, is that the Huawei Mate S will not be offered in all countries. It is not yet clear which markets the product will reach, and its price is not known either. Still, Huawei takes credit for being one week ahead of Apple.
