If you are among the lucky ones who can afford a large data package in the Czech Republic, then you have surely at least once used the function called personal hotspot. If you activate a personal hotspot on your device, you can use Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or USB to share the Internet connection on virtually any device. Even though Apple's personal hotspot is not as sophisticated as its competitors, it should work reliably in principle. But sometimes it can happen to you that it doesn't respond properly for an unknown reason, so in today's article we will show you how to proceed in the event that the hotspot on the iPhone does not work.

Restart the hotspot

This trick may seem unnecessary to mention, but it very often works. Move to Settings -> Personal Hotspot or Settings -> Mobile data -> Personal hotspot, pal turn off and again turn on switch Allow others to connect. Stay on this screen and on the device you want to connect, search for a Wi-Fi network. Once connected, you can exit the hotspot screen on your iPhone.

Check the credibility

If you are connecting a computer to your hotspot via USB, several factors must be met. In the case of Windows, it is necessary to have iTunes installed, which you simply cannot do without. After connecting your iPhone to your computer or Mac, first unlock it. Then a verification window will appear in which click on Trust a enter the code. Then on your PC or Mac, go to network settings, where the Connect to iPhone option should be located. But be careful, in some cases a computer or Mac will choose the hotspot as the primary source of the Internet after connecting with a cable, even though you are connected to the Internet in another way.

If you own iPhone with Face ID, then hold side button with the pro button volume adjustment, until the sliders screen appears where you slide your finger across Swipe to turn off. Reset network settings

So that you don't have to reset the entire iPhone, quite often in the case of a non-functional hotspot, simply resetting the network settings will help. However, expect that the phone will disconnect from all Wi-Fi networks if you do not use the key fob and do not back up passwords to it. Open to restore Settings, click the section In general and completely dole click on Reset. Select from the displayed options reset network settings, enter the code a confirm the dialog box.

Contact your operator

If you thought that connecting to a hotspot depends purely on your phone, you were wrong. Individual operators can set a transfer limit through the hotspot or block it completely. For example, if you have unlimited data, with many tariffs of Czech operators, the data limit through the hotspot is set to a relatively low limit. So, if none of the above tips helped you, be sure to call your operator.
