Apple picker You can find a large number of racing games in the App Store. However, Hop Race is very special in one way or another. You won't be driving any super powerful motorcycles or shiny cars, but you will be controlling paper jumping flip flops. And the tournament can begin!
To get started in the game, you have several "models" (shapes) of frogs at your disposal, and you can access a part of individual races in which you and other paper colleagues strive to be the first to cross the finish line. You choose a racing model, one of the 16 available flip-flop looks (from plain colors to disguised as a cat or dog or national flags) and you can stand at the start. Funny sound effects, three difficulty levels and special track bonuses are at your disposal.
You can temporarily speed up your flip flop during the race, slow down the others, gain more power or make your opponents jump uncomfortable with various obstacles on the track. At a fast pace, your paper racer will soon become out of breath, so the only option is to slow down a bit. Over time, additional tracks will become available to you, and after winning the first race, the tournament mode will also become available.
You can play with friends via bluetooth, WiFi or online via the Internet. At the same time, you can also compare your score with others. Naturally, such a race gains much more playability when played collectively. Don't expect a witty story, but a childishly naive yet interesting game to unwind. The game will work on iPhones, iPods and iPads running iOS 3.1.3 and above.
