We talk and write about games with zombies quite often. But it's rare that a game imitates a mortal in a perfect way even outside of its virtual world. The Indie Stone's Project Zomboid is an example of a game that many thought was dead (or at best half-dead) until it woke up with the power of the hungry undead. The project, which has been around since 2011, has recently undergone a major transformation that has catapulted it to the top of the popularity charts among the most watched games on Twitch.

And what is he responsible for such an unexpected event? A few days before Christmas, a big update arrived in the game updating the game to Build 41. It brought with it a huge number of changes for the better. The survival game, in which players are tasked with surviving a global zombie apocalypse, has proven to its critics that it has unsuspected potential. At the same time, the update brings so many changes that the developers could release it as a regular sequel. With Build 41, a new battle system, improved enemy intelligence, a new multiplayer mode and a ton of other cosmetic and functional changes arrived in the game.

The result is an extremely believable simulation of the world after the zombie apocalypse. In addition to streamers, many thousands of players agree that the game has only undergone changes for the better. Before the update, Project Zomboid had a maximum of over six thousand players at any one time. However, just a few days after the big update, the game broke this record by more than ten times.
