One of the novelties for the new IOS 4.1, which will be released this Wednesday, is photography with HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology. This technology combines a series of photos with high dynamic range, and the best parts of those photos are merged together into one photo that brings out much more detail.

You can see an example in this image, which came directly from Apple. In the HDR photo (right) there is a panorama with a clear sky and a darker foreground, which adds to its quality and beauty.

After installing IOS 4.1, a new HDR button will appear next to the flash button. It goes without saying that it will be possible to take photos even without HDR. There are already a number of applications that offer HDR, but they can only combine two photos together and not three as will be the case with the update. Some even just one and will use a filter that only mimics the HDR look. If you want to try them out, we can recommend Pro HDR and TrueHDR (both $1,99). However, let's be surprised how the photos will look in practice. Anyway, it's another step forward in mobile photography.
